Nakheel’s latest masterpiece, Nakheel Harbour & Tower is a community like no other that is inspired by Islamic culture. This new community incorporates design elements from great Islamic cities of the past – from the gardens of Alhambra in Spain and the harbour of Alexandria in Egypt, to the promenade of Tangier in Morocco and the the bridges of Isfahan in Iran.

It will be the thriving hub of culture, commerce and entertainment for all of Dubai. Connected by waterways and canals, this new masterpiece contains the world’s only inner city harbour and over one kilometer high tower called Nakheel Tower. Its iconic design is inspired by Islamic patterns. Unlike other tall buildings that have a single core, this tower will be made up of four individual cores – a groundbreaking engineering feat inspired by Islamic patterns

Sustainability is at the heart of Nakheel Harbour & Tower’s design.
The very nature of a vertical community like Nakheel Harbour & Tower is a testament to sustainability, as it recognizes that there is a finite limit to urban sprawl, and that Dubai, a fast-growing urban centre, can grow best by growing upwards, not outwards.

Inspired by the engineering innovations made possible by Islamic geometric patterns, Nakheel Tower will be made up of four towers with four individual cores forming an approximate 100 meter diameter radius.

The towers will be joined by four-level, full diameter sky bridges at approximately every twenty-five floors. The sky bridges will act to tie the buildings together structurally as well as to provide each part of the building with its own village centre in the sky, featuring a wide variety of shops and exciting entertainment options.

Nakheel Tower will be serviced by one hundred and fifty six (156) lifts using the latest technology of double deck and express lifts, providing quick access to the higher community’s sky bridges. As a result, the travel time for a member of the public going from ground floor up to the observation deck (highest public level) will be less than four minutes!
